The auction of the former General Motors assembly plant property is officially closed.
Janesville Economic Development Director Gale Price says Commercial Development Company’s decision to extend the auction by a week apparently paid off, with the entire 250 acre property going to a single buyer.
Price says there’s a 90 day due diligence period.
Commercial Development Company plans to bring the buyer in to meet with City officials towards the end of the 90 days to get the conditional use permit process rolling.
