One person is dead after an early morning fire in downtown Beloit. Firefighters were called to the Carom Room Pool Hall in the 600 block of East Grand Avenue about 2:00 a.m. Sunday. The victim was found in the basement. Most of the damage to the business was contained to the basement. The cause is under investigation,
