The City of Janesville considers putting good use to $ 4 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding that’s been set aside as lost revenue.
Assistant to the City Manager Erin Davis says the City Council will consider using half of the money – $ 2 million to establish a new Pay It Forward Grant Program when they meet on Monday evening.
Davis says if approved, awards of $50,000 to $1 million will be made available to 501(c)3 and 501(c)4 organizations operating in Janesville.
If the Janesville City Council approves the new grant program at their regular meeting on Monday night, grant applications would be made available within a few days.
