Pocan raises concerns about fake electors

2nd District Congressman Mark Pocan writes a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to look into fraudulent electors from Wisconsin and six other states in the 2020 presidential election.

The Black Earth Democrat says that he has learned that the re-election campaign of Donald Trump, and specifically Rudy Giuliani, were directly involved in getting these states to submit a slate of alternate electors.

Pocan explains the goal of this plan was to confuse the certification process by not knowing which of each state’s electors were valid.

If the seven states with the two sets of electors were thrown out of the certification process, Pocan says Trump would have been elected to a second term.

He adds the circumstance, though non-violent, had similarities to the January 6th insurrection as an opportunity to overturn the election.
