A Beloit church uses several recent tragedies to inspire prayer.
Last week a 31-year-old Beloit woman was shot to death in the 1400 block of Madison Road. Saturday morning a 42-year-old Janesville woman was found stabbed to death in the area of Howes Drive and Clary Street. Saturday evening a 19-year-old man was shot to death in the parking lot of Beloit Memorial High School following a basketball game.
St. John’s Lutheran Church Pastor Dennis Roser says he’s asking his congregation, and anyone else who wants to join, to pray at 7:00 p.m. every day for the next 30 days.
Roser says to pray for the well-being of the city, and anyone impacted by the recent tragedies, or has the wherewithal to impact increased safety in the community.
