Monroe Police say officers were called to the report of an occupied vehicle stopped in the middle of the street in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue at about 3:15 Saturday morning.
Officers attempted to make contact with the driver but the vehicle fled south out of town and eventually drove into a field where the driver fled on foot.
A Green County Sheriff’s Deputy later located the suspected driver of the vehicle walking down a county road on foot.
