Drivers in Rock County will notice extra police cars this weekend.
Beloit Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says the Rock County Impaired Driving Task Force is deploying Friday and Saturday and again on February 18th and 19th.
Lock says the task force includes law enforcement from Janesville, Beloit, Clinton, Orfordville, town of Beloit, town of Turtle, and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
Lock says there will be zero tolerance for driving under the influence, open intoxicants, seatbelt violations and improper use of child safety restraints.
Lock says the extra enforcement is made possible thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
