Convicted felon arrested with gun in Janesville

A 48-year-old Lake Geneva man is under arrest on suspicion of gun charges following a traffic stop February 5th in Janesville.

According to a news release, Janesville Police stopped a vehicle driven by Steven Rowe for an equipment violation just before 1:00 p.m. in the area of Delavan Drive and Jackson Street.

The officer suspected Rowe was in possession of contraband so he requested permission to search him. A handgun was located in his coat pocket.

Rowe is a convicted felon, who’s not allowed to possess firearms.

Rowe was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, bail jumping, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Rowe’s passenger, 24-year-old Timothy James Charles Tustin of Janesville was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
