A former Rock County Sheriff’s Sergeant who currently works in the education field announces he plans to run for Sheriff next year.
Troy Egger is a former Marine who started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2006 as a Correctional Officer, and worked his way up to the rank of Sergeant before resigning in 2019.
Egger currently works as Criminal Justice Program Administrator and Director of Law Enforcement Academies at Blackhawk Technical College.
Egger will face Rock County Sheriff’s Captain Curtis Fell in the democratic primary.
Current Rock County Sheriff Troy Knudson announced last week he would not seek re-election after a single term.
