Eight local municipalities join together in petitioning for funds from the County Board to help improve emergency and response services. Edgerton Fire Chief Randall Pickering says capital investment was looked at from City and Town of Milton, Lima, Harmony and Johnstown as well as City and Town of Edgerton, Fulton and Porter. Pickering says the Town of Johnstown and Harmony are the main leaders of the municipalities’ petition as they want to let the County Board know another group is looking at potentially drawing funds before they’re allocated out. The vote for the joint municipal resolution last night requesting American rescue plan funding from Rock County passed unanimously at Edgerton City Council.
