The Janesville School Board votes to end their mask mandate. Superintendent Steve Pophal recommends they transition to a mask recommended status with exceptions of federal mandates for buses and wearing it days six through 10 after a five-day quarantine. Board Commissioner Karl Dommershausen says he reluctantly agrees to move forward with the transition but will watch if metrics grow. The decision for having the optional masking start 4 p.m. today passed unanimously at last night’s school board meeting with Greg Ardrey absent.
