Rock County Parks staff has been working to assess the needs required to reopen the former Boy Scout Camp Indian Trails. The county closed on the deal to buy the camp last month. County Parks Manager John Traynor says plenty of work needs to be done to open the park to the public. A resolution before the county board this week will ask for $650 thousand to pay for capital site improvements, maintenance and staffing. The camp is located on North River Road northwest of Janesville and would be the third largest in Rock County, behind Gibbs Lake and Happy Hallow.
