A 41-year-old Fort Atkinson man is accused of traveling the wrong way on US Highway 12 near Elkhorn at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a driver traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes of Highway just before midnight on Friday.
An attempt to locate the vehicle was immediately broadcast by the communications center and the vehicle was located a short time later by Lake Geneva Police.
Lake Geneva Police followed the vehicle and reported that it crashed near Clover Road in the town of Bloomfield.
The driver, Christopher J Pinnow was arrested on suspicion of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Possession of THC, possession of Narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
