SSM Health sponsors the Janesville Jets Reading Club as the Janesville Jets and SSM Health team up to promote childhood literacy. Community Health Regional Director Megan Timm says this impacts the community in that kids will see athletes visiting their school and sharing the importance of reading. Timm says as kids read more it can improve test scores, increase graduation rates and give them good jobs. She hopes they’ll stay in the area and want to contribute back in a meaningful way. According to a news release, the Special Literacy Night game will be March 19th.
