A local paper is losing it’s most senior reporter.
Austin Montgomery announced during this week’s Beloit City Council meeting that his last day with the Beloit Daily News is Thursday.
Montgomery thanked council members for their transparency regardless of the issue, and their cooperation during his time at the paper now owned by Adams Publishing Group.
Montgomery says he came to Beloit as a visitor without the expectation to stay as long as he did at the Beloit Daily News.
