Law enforcement officers partner for Rock County Impaired Driving Enforcement Task Force, deploying to prevent impaired driving. City of Beloit Strategic Communications Director Sarah Lock says the goal is to provide high visibility enforcement to encourage drivers to make alternate plans so they’re not driving while drunk or high. Lock says individuals driving while impaired are putting their lives as well as others’ at risk. She says if the message discourages one person from driving while intoxicated, it’s going to make a difference. This is funded by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. They will be out Saint Patrick’s Day and the following weekend.
