Janesville’s Boys & Girls Club progresses as the pandemic wanes. CEO Rebecca Veium says progress is looking good, they are becoming more of a normal club again, and their enrollment increased. Veium says lots of reports discuss how this will affect this generation’s academics and workforce skills, because they missed out on being able to develop those necessary skills. She says this naturally fits with what Boys & Girls Clubs do, and they’re continuing to build on that and meet whatever the students’ and community’s needs are. To help ensure they adjust their programs accordingly, they do a lot of pre and post assessments and youth surveys to measure the organization’s progress.
