Janesville is preparing residents for next week’s intermittent curb and gutter replacement. Assistant City Engineer Lisa Wolf says it’s part of the city’s annual street rehabilitation program where they rehabilitate about 12 miles of city streets. Wolf says it’s being done as part of a comprehensive approach where the city evaluates infrastructure underground, the road, curb, gutter, sidewalk and all, replacing as needed on each street. She says the work will start on West Rotamer Road and progress around the city throughout the construction season, finishing up in October. She says information and a map of the work they plan on doing this summer are available on the website.
