The Rock County Sheriff’s Office offers two Wisconsin DNR Hunter Safety Education Courses at the Edgerton Conservation Club. Deputy Trevor Lund says they’ll have about 25 to 30 students and classes are filling up fast. Lund says they do a lot of hands-on stuff, teaching students safety and how to be a good hunter. According to a news release, anyone born on or after January first, 1973 is required to complete a Hunter Safety Education Course to legally hunt in Wisconsin. Courses run 8:00 a.m. April 23rd through the 24th, and May 14th through the 15th.
