Absentee Voting planned for a local senior living facility

Absentee Voting is planned for Milton Senior Living residents next week. City Clerk Jenny Salvo says two City-appointed Special Voting Deputies will administer voting for the facility’s residents for the April fifth Spring Primary Election. Salvo says this means those people have requested an absentee ballot, are considered indefinitely confined and able to vote in that qualified residential care apartment complex or care facility. She says it’s only for the facility’s residents. She says they’re allowed to vote at the facility, because if there’s over five registered voters wishing to absentee vote in a nursing home or residential care apartment complex, the city can distinguish that as a care facility and send two deputies to administer absentee voting. According to a news release, absentee voting is March 29th at Milton Senior Living 10:00 a.m. to noon.
