Two men are in custody in Rock County after their vehicle crashes head-on with a sheriff’s deputy squad car. Janesville police say officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the 15-hundred block of Parker Court about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, and attempted to take the driver and passenger into custody. The suspects fled and after a time Janesville police terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. A Rock County Deputy then located the vehicle at Highway 26 and McCormick. The sheriff’s office reports the suspect headed north in the southbound lanes and then crossed the median to hit the squad car in the northbound lane. The driver then fled on foot, but was taken into custody by Janesville police and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, 38-year-old Jesse Seales of Janesville was arrested on charges including fleeing and drug possession. The passenger, 35-year-old Ryan Schultz was arrested on a probation violation and drug possession. The deputy was taken the hospital and treated and released.
