Local residents are encouraged to come out and vote

With the April 5th spring election coming up, Rock County encourages local residents to vote. Rock County Clerk Lisa Tollefson says April elections are about voting for offices that affect your daily life the most. Tollefson says your county board, town village town board, school districts set your taxes for property taxes and decide many local decisions with roads or what happens in schools. She says you can register on election day, just bring a valid Wisconsin drivers license or state ID and proof of residence. Or you can bring a utility bill less than 90 days old. Polls open at 7:00 and close at 8:00 p.m.
