Janesville Fire and Police respond to a blaze Friday evening at the Kohl’s store in the Uptown Janesville mall. A release from the Janesville Fire Department says units responding to the scene were advised of smoke and fire in the bedding area in the rear of the store. The building was evacuated, and the fire is kept in check by a sprinkler system until firefighters extinguish the blaze. The store sustains smoke and water damage from putting out the fire . Outside of treating an upset and anxious customer, no injuries are reported from the blaze, the cause of which is currently under investigation.
