The Hedberg Public Library in Janesville has come a long way since the City’s first library began in 1865.
What started out serving the Young Men’s Association was officially adopted by the City in 1884 and became a community library.
The current location on South Main Street has over 48,000 cardholders, and circulated more than a half-million items last year.
The Janesville City Council passed a resolution at their most recent meeting declaring April 3rd through the 9th National Library Week.
