A court street hardware store will get to keep the exterior materials it used for construction despite the fact that they were not included in the original conditional use permit approved by the Janesville Plan Commission.

Building Director Tom Clippert says Lloyd’s True Value Hardware and Rental was not built according to the plans approved by the Plan Commission in 2018.

In a letter to the City owner Christopher Lloyd said they did not believe they were violating code when the changes were made as they are new to commercial construction.

At their meeting Monday night the Janesville Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit amendment which will allow the unapproved materials to remain.
