A Janesville principal is awarded the 2022 Wisconsin Elementary Principal of the Year by the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators. School District Superintendent Steve Pophal says Principal Stephanie Filter was nominated about eight months ago, and she filled out application stuff which was read by a state-level committee. Pophal says Filter was in a group of 12 state principals who were recognized as the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Principal Leaders of the Year, and out of that group, Filter was selected as Wisconsin Elementary Principal of the Year. He says Filter attended Madison Elementary School as a student and congratulates her and the Madison Elementary School team for a job well-done. Last week, Filter was awarded the 2022 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Principal Leaders award.
