KANDU Industries Livin’ and Learnin’ program is moving.
Client Services Director Julie Smith says the “Livin’ and Learnin'” program helps people navigate daily living activities outside of school and work.
Smith says the program had been operating out of the Pontiac Convention Center but it’s now based out of a home on Center Avenue owned by St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Smith says the home also has therapeutic sensory rooms which create a sense of calm and stimulate exploration, learning, and development to help individuals with sensory processing disorders or cognitive and learning disabilities to process the world around them.
