More than 17,000 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year.
The Leadership Development Academy of Rock County is honoring one of those children – Isaac Johnson by holding a fundraiser to support the foundation set up by Isaac’s family.
The Isaac Strong Foundation donates 80% of all funds raised to local families battling pediatric cancer and 20% to childhood cancer research.
Team Member Amy Carey says an “Everyone Needs a Hero” superhero event will take place Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Uptown Janesville.
The event will feature photos with superheroes, balloon art, magic, a DJ, hourly drawings, a silent auction, and refreshments.
