Alliant Energy hosts a “Golden Panel” event at their North Rock Solar site in Edgerton to mark the start of solar panel installation. Wisconsin Operations President David de Leon says the clean energy blueprint includes plans to add about 1,000 Megawatts of a large generating facility, which they plan to have in Wisconsin by the end of 2023. de Leon says they’re taking another step towards achieving that goal by installing the first panel, what they call, their “Golden Panel” which begins the final project construction stage. He says the site has come a long way, thanking their partnership with constructor Burns & McDonnell and landowners who’ve partnered with them on the project. The event was held yesterday.
