This season marks the first for the Girls on the Run of South Central Wisconsin being in Janesville among other surprises. Executive Director Christine Benedict says they’re at Harrison Elementary and are excited being new to the community. Benedict says they’re also serving participants in Dane and all surrounding South Central Wisconsin counties for the first time. She says a record number of participants they’re serving overall is almost 1100 girls across South Central Wisconsin who will gather for the 5K run in Middleton, Wisconsin June 4th.
