The newly selected individual to be the next Janesville Public Works Director is City Engineer Mike Payne. City Manager Assistant Erin Davis says they’re excited for Payne being promoted to the position. Davis says Payne has been with the city for 22 years. Davis says it’s exciting somebody from within is being promoted and they’re all confident he’ll do a fantastic job. She says he does a lot of work within public works as the city engineer and has a great idea of the scope of work necessary.
