The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 just east of Footville. A sheriff’s office news release reports a westbound Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center line near North Roherty Road before 5:00 p.m. Monday and hit an eastbound Ford F550 head-on. Deputies say the Silverado spun around and stopped in the middle of the road and caught fire. The F550 rolled in the south side ditch. The driver and lone occupant of the Silverado was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and lone occupant of the F550 was seriously injured. Highway 11 was closed for about five hours.
