Beloit Police release information about the placement of a convicted sex offender in the city.
A notification from the department says 68-year-old Joseph L. Wendt will be residing at 1216 Portland Avenue in Beloit following his release from prison.
According to the release, Wendt was convicted first and second degree sexual assault in 1988, two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child in 1991, and first degree sexual assault of a child in 1999.
Wendt address is a temporary living placement location rented by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Conditions of Wendt’s supervision include no unsupervised contact with minors or the victims of his crimes, no drug consumption, cooperating with electronic monitoring, and complying with all requirements and lifetime registration of the Wisconsin Sex
Offender Registry.
