A proposed new tax incremental financing district on Janesville’s east side could add $31 million in value to the City.
The proposed TID number 39 is comprised of 70 acres of land located south of the Youth Sports Complex and north of Capital Circle.
Harry Allen with Ehlers Public Finance Advisors says TID 39 consists of three parcels and at this point there’s only a development happening on one of them.
The Janesville Plan Commission gave their positive recommendation on the creation of TID 39 in a unanimous vote on Monday night with Commissioner Doug Marklein abstaining.
