The Welty Enviromental Center in Beloit has recently been granted an expansion of their use of the Big Hill Center.
Executive Director Brenda Plakens says that the new room they’ve been given needs some sprucing up so they can have a more exciting learning space and so it can better match the program room they’ve been using since 2015.
Plakens says that two donors have set up a matching challenge to kick things off. Whatever the Welty Center raises by September 1st, they will double up to $7,500. Plakens says if the numbers are met, the center could receive up to $21,000.
