Beloit shooting suspect bound over for trial

A 28-year-old Beloit man who’s accused of firing a gun at a car load of people is requesting a speedy trial.
Kewane Spence is charged with three counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of of firearm by a felon in connection with the incident outside a resident on 10th Street in Beloit in May.
According to the criminal complaint, Spence waved a gun and fired one bullet at a car full of people who were fleeing a party as a fight was about to break out.
At his preliminary hearing Monday morning Spence was bound over for trial and his attorney entered a plea of not guilty.
