The City of Beloit is encouraging neighborhoods to host block parties for National Night Out.
Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says Beloit Police will be kicking off National Night Out with an event from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. on August 3rd at the Harry C. Moore Pavilion in Riverside Park.
Lock says National Night Out is typically held the first Tuesday in August, but this year it’s being held on a Wednesday.
Lock says the deadline for neighborhoods to register their block parties and receive street barricades is July 29th.
