The former Rock County job center will be the site of a new Kwik Trip in Janesville.
Rock County Administrator Josh Smith says that there is still some bureaucracy to get through including things like surveys, but that they wouldn’t have gone through the process with Kwik Trip if the city wasn’t already on board.
Smith says the store will also help the city by getting it back on the tax roll generating property taxes, as opposed to sitting vacant.
Kwik Trip plans to raze the building and build their store on the east portion of the lot.
