The Janesville Police Department is mourning the loss of one of it’s own.
Sergeant Glen Hageman says Fred passed away Tuesday night after battling cancer for a couple of years.
Hageman says a procession will escort Fred from the Janesville Animal Medical Center, South on Milton Avenue, West on Milwaukee Street and North on Jackson Street to the Janesville Police Department Thursday.
Members of the public are invited to participate in a program at 11:30 a.m. outside the Janesville Police Department.
Fred served the Janesville Police Department since 2015, providing many criminal apprehensions, drug seizures, and public presentations.
