The Janesville firefighters union and the City of Janesville are successful in coming to a labor agreement for 2022.
Human Resources Director Tara Semenchuk says major terms of the agreement include a two percent wage increase retroactive to January first of 2022.
The direct cost over the term of the contract is estimated at about $160,000 over current compensation funding levels.
Semenchuk says the union membership ratified the contract on August 2nd.
The Janesville City Council approved the labor agreement in a unanimous vote this week.
