The 48-year-old Freeport, Illinois man who’s accused of burglarizing a home outside of Clinton and fleeing naked appears in Rock County Court.
According to the criminal complaint, the homeowner awoke to find a Hayward man in the kitchen and William Hoefle in the shower. Hoefle fled in the nude and was later arrested hiding in a culvert.
Both men are charged with burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
At his arraignment Tuesday afternoon Hoefle plead not guilty to the charges.
A jury trial is expected to be set for a future date.
