Beloit couple facing drug charges in federal court

A married couple from Beloit is indicted by a grand jury on drug charges.

38-year-old Depronce Burnett and 34-year-old Dominique Holsten are charged in federal court with conspiring to distribute and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of cocaine.

According to a news release, the two are facing more than a half dozen other charges including maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession with intent to deliver various drugs.

The charges against Burnett and Holsten are the result of an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Janesville and Beloit Police Departments.

If convicted, Burnett and Holsten face a mandatory minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 40 years in federal prison on the conspiracy charge.
