Tuesday afternoon’s scheduled meeting of the Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center Design team has been canceled.
Director of Public Works Mike Payne says needing more time after receiving input from the city council, some committee members being unavailable after the holiday weekend, and the committee wanting to receive info more in advance of the meetings all led to it be canceled.
Payne says the focus over the last week has been able to provide updates for the city council at their special meeting on the 30th, and so the goal is to now give the committee enough time to make some recommendations on the project to bring the cost down.
The next scheduled W-S-C-C Design team meeting is scheduled for September 20th at city hall.
