Janesville residents get the chance to chat with their police chief on national Coffee with a Cop day Wednesday morning.
Sergeant Ben Thompson says October’s “Coffee with the Chief” will take place from 9:00am until 10:30am at the Wedge Inn in Janesville.
Thompson says the event gives residents a great opportunity to talk to Chief David Moore about questions they might have, voice concerns, or simply have a conversation.
Thompson says this month’s even will also feature the Janesville Police Department’s bike officers and residents can ask questions and talk about their roles in the community.
Chief Moore was also recently announced as Janesville’s Interim City Manager, and Thompson says this will be a chance for members of the community to talk to Moore about how he plans to balance both roles.
Wednesday is national Coffee with a Cop day and many local departments are putting on similar events.
