A May jury trial is planned for a 35-year-old former Rock County Sheriff’s deputy who’s accused of sexually assaulting children.

Gary Huber of Fort Wayne, Indiana faces a total of 10 charges including first degree child sexual assault, child enticement, causing a child to view sexual activity, and exposing genitals to a child.

According to the criminal complaint, Huber assaulted multiple boys between the ages of eight and 15 between 2010 and 2016 – before he was hired at the Sheriff’s Office.

Huber resigned in July of 2021 to avoid an internal investigation.

Huber’s jury trial is scheduled to begin on May 22nd and is expected to last about five days.
