The results are in from the Janesville School District’s Annual Third Friday in September enrollment count.
Public Information Officer Patrick Gasper says the district is holding steady and isn’t a declining school district, which is important when it comes to how the state disperses aid to the schools.
Gasper says this years 2023 graduating class is actually bigger than the 11th grade class last year, and they’re not quite sure where in the increase came from but they are glad to have the extra students in the district.
Gasper says the 9th grade class entering high school this year is bigger than last years 8th grade class, likely due to students leaving from parochial middle schools and entering district high schools.
