The whole family can take part in a friendly Halloween stroll as the city of Beloit puts on their second annual Pumpkin Walk.

Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says the roughly one third of a mile path will feature LED lit jack-o-lanterns carved by city employees and members of the community can vote on their favorites.

Lock says the Beloit Public Library will also be there for a not too spooky story an free books will be available to the first handful and children that show up.

Lock says the event originated to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Gateway Business park and it was such as success they decided to bring it back again.

The event is free and takes place Tuesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 at the Eagles Ridge Park.
