Janesville superintendent talks test scores

Janesville Superintendent speaks on what recently received test scores mean for the future of the district.
Mark Holzman appeared on WCLO’s Your Talk Show last week where he said that students have seen improved test scores from 2021 to 2022 and having in person attendance has helped raise those scores.
Holzman said there are two years the district is focusing on for student improvement, growing the number of students who are proficient in reading at their grade level, and the number of kids who are getting a C or better in Algebra.
In recently release data, the overall ACT results for the district were slightly below the state average in English, Math, Science, Social
Studies and Writing.
