The School District of Beloit has locked in on a finalist for their new Superintendent.
According to a press release, the district has selected Dr. Willie Garrison to be the finalist for the position after discussion, reference and background checks, and feedback from the candidate community forums.
Garrison is currently serving as the Director of Teaching and Learning at the Brown Deer School District, a suburb north of Milwaukee.
According to the release, Garrison has accepted an offer of employment and the school board will take formal action and vote on his hiring at Tuesday night’s board meeting.
According to documents on the Tuesday night agenda, Garrison will be paid a salary of $190,500 per year, with the salary prorated based on Garrison’s start date.
