Staff cuts may be needed for Beloit School District

layout-1-14

If the School District of Beloit wants to balance its budget, cutting down staff may be a solution.
Interim Superintendent Wayne Anderson says if they wanted to balance it right now, 56 staff would need to be cut, and personnel is the largest expense factor and the district might have to figure out how to best maximize staff.
School board member Megan Miller argued against reducing staff, saying cutting 56 staff members would be catastrophic to the well being and education of kids in the Beloit schools.
The district’s total number of employees for the 2022-2023 as of October 26th is 877, compared to 948 in 2021 – 2022.
